Senior Nuclear Engineer — Reactor Core Design

TerraPower is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineer to join our Reactor Core Design team working on the Natrium™ reactor program. You will perform neutronics and thermal-hydraulics analyses to support reactor design, licensing, and safety. This is an opportunity to directly shape the future of advanced nuclear energy. Responsibilities: - Perform reactor physics calculations using MCNP, Serpent, and proprietary tools - Conduct core design optimization for the Natrium sodium-cooled fast reactor - Support NRC licensing activities including safety analysis report preparation - Collaborate with thermal-hydraulics, materials, and fuel design teams - Participate in design reviews and present technical findings to leadership - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge base

- MS or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field - 5+ years of experience in reactor physics or core design - Proficiency with Monte Carlo and deterministic neutronics codes (MCNP, Serpent, SCALE) - Experience with fast reactor neutronics is strongly preferred - Active or obtainable Q or L clearance - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience with NRC regulatory framework is a plus
