Radiation Protection Manager

BWX Technologies is seeking a Radiation Protection Manager to lead our health physics program at our Lynchburg, VA facility. You will oversee all aspects of radiation protection including personnel dosimetry, contamination control, ALARA program, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: - Manage radiation protection staff and daily HP operations - Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 20 and applicable state regulations - Oversee personnel dosimetry program and dose tracking - Develop and implement ALARA initiatives to minimize radiation exposure - Interface with NRC inspectors during site visits and inspections - Manage radioactive waste program including shipping and disposal

- BS in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or related field - 8+ years of radiation protection experience, 3+ in leadership - ABHP certification required - Thorough knowledge of 10 CFR 20, 10 CFR 835, and DOE O 458.1 - Experience with dosimetry systems (Landauer, Mirion) - Active or obtainable Q clearance - Strong leadership and communication skills
