Job Description
X-energy is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support NRC licensing of our Xe-100 high-temperature gas-cooled reactor.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the regulatory framework for advanced reactors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review NRC licensing submittals including SAR chapters
- Support NRC pre-application and application interactions
- Track and analyze NRC regulatory guidance relevant to advanced reactors
- Coordinate responses to NRC Requests for Additional Information (RAIs)
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on Xe-100 licensing
- Support development of the plant's Technical Specifications
Requirements
- BS/MS in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in nuclear regulatory affairs or licensing
- Knowledge of 10 CFR 50/52 and NRC regulatory processes
- Experience with safety analysis or probabilistic risk assessment
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Experience with advanced reactor licensing (Part 53) is a strong plus
