Nuclear I&C Systems Engineer

X-energy is looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Systems Engineer to support the digital I&C design for our Xe-100 advanced reactor. Responsibilities: - Design safety-related and non-safety digital I&C systems - Develop functional requirements, system architecture, and interface specifications - Support human factors engineering for control room design - Perform setpoint calculations and instrument uncertainty analyses - Ensure compliance with IEEE 603, IEEE 7-4.3.2, and NRC guidance - Interface with I&C platform vendors and support factory acceptance testing

- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering - 5+ years of nuclear I&C design experience - Knowledge of nuclear I&C standards (IEEE 603, IEEE 7-4.3.2, RG 1.152) - Experience with DCS platforms (Ovation, FPGA-based safety systems) - Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for nuclear facilities (10 CFR 73.54) - Experience with advanced reactor I&C design is preferred
