Nuclear Fuel Engineer

BWX Technologies is seeking a Nuclear Fuel Engineer to support TRISO fuel and naval reactor fuel manufacturing programs. Responsibilities: - Support nuclear fuel design, analysis, and qualification activities - Perform fuel performance modeling and thermal analysis - Review manufacturing processes for fuel fabrication quality - Support irradiation testing programs and post-irradiation examinations - Prepare technical reports and licensing documentation - Interface with DOE and Navy nuclear propulsion program office

- MS or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or Materials Science - 3+ years of experience in nuclear fuel design or manufacturing - Knowledge of fuel performance codes (BISON, FRAPCON, or similar) - Understanding of TRISO fuel technology is strongly preferred - Active or obtainable Q or DOE clearance required - Experience with nuclear fuel qualification methodologies
