Molten Salt Reactor Engineer

Kairos Power is building Hermes, a fluoride salt-cooled high-temperature reactor demonstration plant. We need a reactor engineer to support this groundbreaking project. Responsibilities: - Support reactor systems design and thermal-hydraulic analysis - Perform salt chemistry and corrosion assessments - Conduct safety analysis to support NRC construction permit activities - Develop and validate computational models for salt-cooled reactor performance - Support Hermes test reactor commissioning activities - Collaborate with materials, fuel, and I&C teams

- MS or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering - Experience with thermal-hydraulics analysis (RELAP, TRACE, or similar) - Knowledge of molten salt chemistry and materials compatibility is a strong plus - Understanding of NRC regulatory requirements for test/demonstration reactors - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work on-site in Albuquerque or Oak Ridge
